Actress and Black Lives Matter activist Alyssa Milano received her second Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress in her role in HBO’s “Silicon Valley.”
The actress has spoken out against the police brutality and harassment that Black people are subjected to, and in 2017 she spoke about how her experience with police brutality is “unacceptable.”
Black women are being called out for the things they say and do, not just for the Oscars, but for the rest of our lives.
We’re not going to be invisible.
We’re not gonna be forgotten.
And as we celebrate the next generation of Black women in entertainment, it’s important to recognize the power of our artistry.
